Ottu Partners with Mastercard to Accelerate GCC Digital Payments

Ottu has entered into a strategic partnership with Mastercard to strengthen and expand digital payment capabilities across the GCC region, supporting the growth of digital commerce for businesses.

The collaboration brings together Mastercard Merchant Cloud and Ottu’s regional payments expertise, enabling enterprises to simplify access to local payment methods while maintaining connectivity to global networks.

Under the agreement, Ottu will integrate Mastercard Merchant Cloud, a payments platform that connects to more than 200 acquirers and over 110 million merchant locations worldwide.

Through a single integration, businesses operating in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman will be able to accept a wide range of local and international payment options, reducing complexity and accelerating time to market.

“This collaboration reflects our shared ambition to reimagine digital payments in the region. By joining forces with Mastercard, we are creating a streamlined ecosystem where enterprises can grow with confidence,”

said Talal AlAwadhi, CEO of Ottu.

Mastercard Merchant Cloud offers capabilities including network tokenisation, fraud detection, and authentication tools, helping merchants secure transactions while connecting to additional commerce services.

“Offering locally relevant payment methods is a key priority for our customers and this partnership with Ottu helps us provide a seamless payment experience through a single integration,”

said Maria Parpou, Executive Vice President, Mastercard Merchant Cloud.
