Strengthening collaboration to support Qatar National Vision 2030 through research-driven sustainability initiatives
Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading ICT provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) to collaborate on advanced sustainability research, performance assessments, and long-term improvement initiatives aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The agreement was signed at Ooredoo Headquarters by Dr. Yousef Alhorr, Founding Chairman of GORD, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Madadi, Executive Director – Administration at Ooredoo Qatar. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to embedding sustainability, environmental performance, and research-driven innovation into core organisational strategies.
Headquartered at Qatar Science and Technology Park, GORD is a globally recognised research, development, and innovation (RDI) organisation operating across environmental and social sustainability domains. Its work aligns closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and national development priorities.
Under the MoU, GORD will support Ooredoo through specialised research, sustainability assessments, and expert evaluations. These efforts will help identify actionable opportunities to strengthen sustainability performance, improve operational resilience, and advance Ooredoo’s long-term sustainability roadmap.
