LIPTON Teas and Infusions and Yellow Door Energy Launch Solar Plant in Dubai

Dubai, UAE – April 7, 2026 — LIPTON Teas and Infusions announced a partnership with Yellow Door Energy to commission a 580 kWp solar power plant at its Jebel Ali factory in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone. The plant generates 958,000 kWh of clean electricity in its first year, covering 13% of the facility’s energy needs and reducing CO2 emissions by 388,000 kg annually.

Announcement Specifics

LIPTON installed nearly 1,000 solar panels on the factory car park roof, providing shade for 88 parking spaces. Four cleaning robots remove dust efficiently, minimizing water use. Under Yellow Door Energy’s solar leasing model, LIPTON avoids upfront investment and operational risks while Yellow Door handles financing, design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance. The plant powers production of over 1 billion teabags yearly.
