ACCIONA retains Top Employer 2026 certification in Qatar and 11 markets

DOHA, QATAR – January 25, 2026 — ACCIONA has been certified as a Top Employer 2026 in Qatar for the second consecutive year, alongside 11 main markets including Spain, Brazil, and Mexico. The accolade from Top Employers Institute underscores the company’s HR excellence across its global operations. As the only Spanish company renewing the certification in the Middle East, the recognition bolsters ACCIONA’s regional growth strategy.

Announcement Specifics

ACCIONA retains Top Employer certification across 12 markets: Qatar, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, the United States, Canada, Chile, South Africa, Peru, the Philippines, and Portugal. The company also earned the Top Employers North America Seal and Enterprise Seal for the second time—awarded to just 12 global companies certified in at least 10 countries covering over 95% of their workforce.

The firm manages more than 68,000 professionals and posted €19.190 billion in 2024 sales, with presence in over 40 countries.

Stakeholder Perspective

“The management of ACCIONA’s more than 68,000 professionals is driven by the global PEOPLE plan, which places people at the center of the company’s strategy.”

— ACCIONA spokesperson

Why it matters: This signals robust talent strategies amid global competition for skilled workers in infrastructure and renewable sectors.

Industry Context

The Top Employers Institute assesses organizations via its HR Best Practices Survey across 20 topics including talent acquisition, well-being, and inclusion. In Qatar, ACCIONA emphasizes internal development, sustainability, and accessibility, supporting its infrastructure leadership in renewables and water projects.

Regionally, the renewal cements ACCIONA’s MENA foothold, attracting skilled workers to projects in a talent-scarce market. The certification positions the company for sustained expansion, aligning people strategies with decarbonized economy goals since achieving carbon neutrality in 2016.

The recognition comes as Gulf nations intensify competition for technical talent to support ambitious infrastructure and sustainability initiatives across the region.
